District Inter-Club Visitation Contest
Purpose, Rules and Protocol

Purpose: To foster friendships and bonds between different clubs within our District as well as learn and share information between clubs, to the benefit of each.

  1. Contest Period/Criteria
    The visitation contest period shall run from April 1 to March 31. Visitations to other clubs at regular meetings and any charities fundraising events or hands-on service projects will count. (One regular club meeting only and any number of fundraising events or hands-on service projects.) Qualifying visitation shall be:
    • Division A - 2 members
    • Division B - 4 members
    • Division C - 6 members
    • Division D - 8 members
  2. Membership on April 1 and updated on July 1
  3. Reporting
    To receive credit, the club secretary MUST REPORT CLUB VISITATIONS on the form (Club Visit - Regular / Club Visit - Project) and send to the Cabinet Secretary Diane Quinlan at mrsquinlan@hotmail.com AND to The contest Chairperson Rick Bedel at rbedel@socal.rr.com.
  4. Protocol
    1. Contact the President or Secretary of the club being visited at least one (1) week in advance of the visitation with approximate number of Lions visiting and the date of the proposed visit
    2. Bells, gavels and banners are the ONLY items subject to "borrowing" and only between the opening and closing of the meeting.
    3. Any property taken outside of these rules will void the visitation.
    4. The "borrowing" club shall notify the "visited" club within 48 hours, so that they can reclaim their "borrowed" property. Failure to do so by the "borrowing" club will void the visitation.
  5. NO Piggy Backing on Official Governors Visitation for a club visit.
